Gergonne Industrie is actively expanding its manufacturing facilities by adding three new coating lines to its machinery. These major investments reflect our long-term commitment to innovation and excellence. They will significantly improve the quality and consistency of our adhesive tapes, whilst optimising our industrial performance.

2022
Our plant in Slovakia is expanding: an additional 1,300 m² of workshop space and 2,700 m² of warehouse space. This new extension will enable us to increase workshop capacity by making it possible to install new machines and expand storage space.
2021
Both our Chinese and Moroccan subsidiaries have relocated to new, larger, and fully refurbished facilities. GERGONNE MOROCCO now benefits from a site of over 5,000 m² in the Kenitra region, while GERGONNE CHINA has moved into a warehouse of more than 3,000 m².

To support the growth of its medical business, Gergonne Industrie has decided to expand its cleanroom area by more than 800 m², adding rotary die-cutting machines to increase its production capacity.
2018
The Gergonne Industrie site has been expanded. The surface area of several existing spaces has been increased: the laboratory (+150 m²), the testing center (+95 m²), and the loading platform (+230 m², to facilitate shipping and delivery flows). At the same time, we have enlarged the administrative office space (+600 m²) as well as our production workshops (+2,500 m²), in preparation for the installation of a fourth coating line by the end of 2017.
2017
In a context of strong growth, Gergonne Industrie has decided to enhance its solvent-based emissions treatment system in order to further reduce its VOC emissions. As part of this initiative, we invested in a new regenerative thermal oxidizer, which has been in operation since early October 2016. It is the largest incinerator of this technology installed in France. The performance we are targeting is around 0.25 mg/Nm³, which is twice as low as the emission limit set by the European directive.
2016
Launch of two new brands: ADHECARE (adhesive tapes and polyurethane films for medical devices) and OLINXO (double-sided adhesives for mounting flexographic printing plates in the graphic arts industry).
2014
To expand into new markets, the Gergonne Group established operations in Morocco. Gergonne Morocco is located in Kenitra, in an area dedicated to the automotive industry, 40 km north of Rabat, the capital of Morocco. Gergonne Morocco is able to offer several areas of expertise: lamination, flatbed die-cutting (moving bridge / flatbed press), and foam tube cutting.

1963
Pierre Gergonne, an engineer from École Centrale Paris, and his wife Simonne Gergonne founded a small workshop in Oyonnax: the company GPI. Pierre and Simonne Gergonne’s innovative idea was to use double-sided adhesives (which had just appeared on the American market) to create adhesive products for the home (e.g., adhesive felt pads for chair legs and hygienic door plates sold under the LAO brand: Les Applications Oyonnaxiennes). At the same time, Simonne Gergonne developed the small leather goods market, drawing on her 20 years of experience in processing calendered plastic sheets. A range of adhesive products for the home was quickly developed, and a sales network targeting hardware stores and drugstores was deployed to cover various French regions.
